July
was perceived a unusually cool, with only a couple of
days reaching to 90 F and beyond. The minimum temperature was below 50 F.
Northern Minnesota even had frost warnings.
However,
the long-term data clearly show that these temperatures are normal for July.
The last few years had memorable Julys with much higher than normal
temperatures. No hydrological concerns.
All
data refer to the time since June 7, 2007, as measured by the UMM weather
station. Averages refer to data taken by the Morris Co-op and the USDA Soils
Lab.
