Monthly Summary: June 2013

June was average, temperature-wise. We received twice the amount of average rain.

Notable is that 5.5 inches were received during a series of heavy severe storms on June 21 and 22. This leads to water damage in fields and homes.

Furthermore, high winds exceeding 72 mph (airport AWOS)  lead to much tree damage in town. Many trees were uprooted or broken in half. The damage to houses was surprisingly small.

All data refer to the time since June 7, 2007, as measured by the UMM weather station. Averages refer to data taken by the Morris Co-op and the USDA Soils Lab.
