The 90-year Trends

The minimum monthly temperature has increased for all months of the year, showing trends for as much as 7.5 F per 100 years. The maximum monthly temperatures have a decreasing trend, in particular during the summer months, as much as 6 degrees F per 100 years. Spring months March and April trend to warmer temperatures overall.

Precipitation is a less certain measurement, in particular for the winter months. The declining trends for November through February may not be significant since no snow measurements were considered since 2000.

The 30-year trends

The following graphs show for each year, what the trend of the preceding years would have indicated as temperature change for the next 100 years. Units are Fahrenheit per 100 years. Data points in the pink area indicate positive trends (warming), in the blue area it’s a cooling trend. The 50s and 60s were a cooler period. There appears to be an oscillation. The warming trend for the minimum temperatures in the summer months is corroborated. November and March, the two transition months, show the most significant warming trends.
