Noember 2013 was colder than average.
Particularly memorable might be the cold period around November 23, on which
occasion the temperature remained below 5 F for 24 hours. Ice flowers formed on
the prairie lakes, which had received their first complete ice cover during the
previous cold spell on November 11. November endet without snow cover.
